Hi,

Yes, please email your formmail.php to supportstaff AT tectite DOT com.

I'll have a look at your form now...

Hi,

The form looks fine, except that the URL to formmail.php is wrong:

action="http://www.djmcreations.net/acesup/formmail.php"

Also, your "required" spec isn't what you want (but that's minor for the moment).

I ran formmail.php from the URL you posted, and it reports a Parse error.

This indicates that you've corrupted formmail.php while editing it or when it was uploaded to the server.

Hi Russell,

I just sent you my formmail.php file to the specified email address

that parse error is a new one that just started Ugh

I must have most likely screwed it up whilst trying to fix it

what do I do to make it right again ?

Thanks WW

Hi,

Yes, there was a stray '*' in the file which broke the PHP parser (the language was no longer valid).

I've repaired the file and emailed it back to you.

Hi,

Once you've uploaded the fixed formmail.php, I recommend you test the alerts like this:
http://www.djmcreations.net/acesup/main/formmail.php?testalert=1

You should then get an email alert message. That's the best place to start before continuing.

Hi Russell,

I did fixed the link in the Html and uploaded the fixed formmail.php that you sent

when I click on the link in your last post it says no DEf alert has been set

But I was getting them earlier do I need to re state the def alert ??

Hi,

Yes, I've just seen that too.

The formmail.php I just sent you was correct - it had DEF_ALERT set to your email address.

I've also just tested it locally and it worked fine (you may get an alert message from that test).

So, something got broken between you receiving the email from me and you uploading it to your server.

What software are you using to upload? Did you open the formmail.php file in a program before uploading it? If so, did you write the file back to disk before uploading?

Hi Russell,

I didn't change anything or even open the file you sent I saved it to the directory where the old one was and over wrote it and uploaded it with cuteftp pro 6.0 should I try resaving and reuploading via the web ??

Here is what I got from most likely your formmail alert that you sent to me

This is a test message. PHP version is 4.3.8

DOCUMENT_ROOT: /home/fmtest/public_html
SCRIPT_FILENAME: /home/fmtest/public_html/wwformmail.php
PATH_TRANSLATED: /home/fmtest/public_html/wwformmail.php

REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT: /home/fmtest/public_html

Thanks

Hi,

That's great, we'd really appreciate that! :)

I've attached a banner you can use in two different sizes. Feel free to shrink further to whatever size you want to use.
