Hyphen not working in user name

I've notice that when a hyphen is used in a user's name the form claims to have been submitted but no email is sent. It works fine if a hyphen is used in the domain name however.

e.g.
if user-name@domain.com is sent I do not receive the email even though the form redirects to my good URL page. However, user@domain-name.com works just fine.

If you could shed any light on this issue I would appreciate it. Thanks!

doesn't sound like a form processing problem

maybe a spam filter?

if not, ask ur host to track an example email and let u know whether it actually leaves ur server.
