If you think you've found a bug in FormMail, post details in this forum.
I am using version 8.24 and am getting (via FormAlerts) the following error.
The following error occurred in FormMail :
Unable to create check file "/fm0716f6.txt": fopen(/fm0716f6.txt): failed to open stream: Operation...
Finally got around to upgrading to FormMail 8.24 from 8.16. The README says "'SITE_DOMAIN' is a new configuration setting."
The "formmail.php" says 'SITE_DOMAIN' is "your website domain name," so that's what I entered.
However, I could not find any instructions for the SITE_DOMAIN variable,...
Hello out there. Firstly, let me say: great product. I'm new to it and learning. I'm very excited.
Let me also say that I am having trouble getting the form data written to the CSV file. I did everything you said. I set up the directory with appropriate permissions. I named it a txt file. I put...
We just upgraded from Tectite 8.16 to 8.23 and are experiencing troubles with diacritic characters, widely used in french language. This appears in the sender name field when receiving an email after the form has been processed and, within the message, in the various fileds names....
I've recently started trying to use Formmail (great tool!), but I've run into a problem with using the INI that I just can't seem to figure out.
When I try to use the form, I get the following message:
The email I receive from Formmail says:
I don't know whether this is a bug or not. I posted this in the Community Forum and a helpful user who appears quite knowledgeable with formmail tried to help but couldn't figure this out. So I don't know if I'm trying to do something formmail can't do or can do but isn't working as it should be...
Not sure if it's a bug or not, but when I recently upgraded my client's formmail from 8.15 to 8.23, I immediately began to receive "def_alert" spam--especially including required phone number and zip code fields populated with a simple "123456".
I've since set to "alert_on_user_error" to false...
I'm trying to use anchor text to get a redirect to a specific section of a page after someone submits a form but it won't work.
I have this in my code:
<input type="hidden" name="good_url" value="http://www.trulylifechanging.com/TAGR/TAGRvideoSUB.htm#email">
The redirect works...
I am having similar issues. The formmailer 8.11 appears to work perfectly in Firefox & Safari.
I tested the bad_url redirect in IE and got "Page cannot be displayed." I then filled out the form correctly, and still got "Page cannot be displayed." I searched the forums and found a thread...
I've noticed a bug when using special fields "realname" and "email" in a form along with fmbadhandler. Entered data for these fields are not filled in when returning to the form after an error. Other input fields do get properly filled in.
A work around for the problem is to use different names...
I cannot get NewImageVerify to work in IE8, Firefox 3.5, or Safari 4.02.
It works fine in IE7.
The script is running but the image is not refreshing.
I´m taking one step at the time and trying to fix several errors but I think this one might be a bug.
I have installed fmbadhandler and an error page and it works almost. The problem is that the error page does not show the correct errors.
First and most important, I must say that FormMail is an awesome script. I've used other .php mailers and they simply can't compete with FormMail!
I don't believe this is a bug with FormMail but I just wanted to share an important piece of info with everyone.
I'm hosting a site with...
Due to possible strict sender policy framework (SPF) settings: -all (instead of the spf wizard generated ~all) a domain its spf records can specify that not any other server is allowed to sent mail than the servers listed in their spf records, we never sent out form results from the...
yet if anyone enters a URL the form is rejected as having too many URLs
Can this be a bug?
The form is at:
I have a quick and simple copy-pasted quiestion below. Has that been solved yet in your latest versions by any chances? I am so tempted to implement my own validation codes (should not take long and I have quite a few readily avilable templates) but.. would like to hear what you...
I have tried to access http://www.tectite.com/fmgeoipdemo.php and it does not appear to work. I'm trying to setup GeoIP as described on this page: http://www.tectite.com/geoip.php - allthough I did receive a key the geoIP details do not display in the message which is generated by formmail.php
Some of my audience is Turkish. This means that, in addition to the standard Latin alphabet, the following non-Latin characters might be used in form inputs: üğışçöÜĞİŞÇÖ
However, when this character string is mailed through Formmail for testing purposes, it is relayed in the form of spelled...
I was using formmail perfectly for a few months but now suddenly on all my sites I receive an email with the following error whenever anyone submits via a form:
The following error occurred in FormMail :
Unable to create check file "/tmp/fme926ab.txt": fopen(/tmp/fme926ab.txt) : failed to open...
My formmail script has been working perfectly for a couple of weeks now, but its just been pointed out to me that the verification image is not showing. Seems like this has only occured in the last day or so.
Looking into it I get the following error on the verifyimg.php
