  1. Exclamation Dreamweaver problems

Have just succeeded, after losing a vast amount of hair, to install Formmail & get it to work. My error lay in editing & uploading my .php file with dreamweaver, which was corrupting the file. I solved the problem by opening the original file, editing with Notepad, saving to my local site & then...

  2. Hook system and redirect, posting session data to good_url, ini files

Hey there, Let me first say that your formmail script is awesome, thank you for sharing it with the public. I found I had need to do some modifications, and considered using the hook system, but discovered something in the process worth pointing out: The final hook, ...

  3. Way to add time to mouseover of thread view?

I love that I can mouse over titles of a thread to get a gist of its contents. Unfortunately I'm a slow reader and I have to keep re-mousing to get to read the entire drop down. I'd like an option to lengthen the time the drop down stays open. Thanks, Kerry

  4. improve session handling

why do you insist on zapping the session? In a session based website important data can be lost - I have seen at least one set of questions here relating to sessions and a website that uses session data to keep track of logged-in members. (this is also causing me a problem) Why not use ...

  5. Security in the sending form

Hello, I am wondering, that in the sending-form evry kind of misused is stopped. But the sending form needs a hidden field with the recipients Emailadress in clear text, readable for everyone and every script? Regards Oliver

  6. Catcha should be optional.

Captcha should be optional.. I see the benefits of Captcha, but I've also seen people very frustrated when they can't quite read the combination. The one used in the Search area of this forums is an example, it puts you off. A prospective client might move on if he/she gets frustrated with...

  7. I agree with a Lite version

There's almost 10,000 lines of codes. You have to create your own .ini file from scratch. The option for check boxes (so essential nowadays) is not easily customizable. By the time you're done you know much more than you wanted about php scripting. That's if you don't give up of frustration before....

  8. Smile multiple .ini files for one formmail.php

Hello, This is an awesome product and the documentation and support is second to none - sensational stuff – so thank you for such an awesome product. And what a brilliant idea to use .ini files and keep that sensitive / bloated info out of the html – love your work. My...

  9. CSV and leading zeros

The default display option in Excel drops leading zeros in cells with numbers when opening a CSV file (01045 is displayed as 1045). The user has to first realize the displayed numbers are wrong then reformat the cells to "zip code" to force display of the leading zeros. Can we have an option...

  10. Smile Configurable constraint on upload file types

Hi there, First of all I'd like to say this is a great script. Terrific functionality, well documented and supported. The file upload feature is excellent. One enhancement that I'd love to see would be a configuration option to limit the types of upload file that the script accepts (for both...

  13. W3C Validation

I also want to congratulate and THANK YOU for a great script. I use formmail with the fmtemplates and doctype xhtml1.0 transitional on all my pages. The formpage validates nicely, but the the good-template and bad_template did not. And here is my suggestion: You added support for...

  14. Wink Suggestions from a Newbie

  16. Support for reCaptcha?

  17. Admin Interface

I want to suggest a new feature. I use these forms for 100's of clients. AS the spam problem increases I think there isa excellent opportunity for someone to create a simple system that will allow the client to log-in toa simple PHP back office and see the sumissions. Many times a client will miss...

  18. Tectite Formmail Lite

I'd like to see a "lite" version of Formmail that doesn't have all the fancier features of Formmail, specifically to process the email faster. I use formmail because of the @mangle feature, and the ini feature to hide my email address. Since I started using this formmail program I have not received...

  19. "required" array from ini file and form

Hi Russel, How about a modification to the "required" array such that the definitions can come from both the ini file and the form? (Obviously the ini should take precedence if a field is listed in both places.) That way a security related field like imgverify could be required on all forms...
