Error template - a sample for you to use

The attached file contains a sample HTML template for handling errors.

We've provided a HOW-TO guide that explains error templates.

This template is designed to show you how you can format your errors. You can use it as a basis for developing your own template.

The attached template is erroneously referred to as "samplebadtemplate.htm" in the comments in FMBadHandler. The attached template is the file you want to use as a starting point for developing your own error/bad template.

Versions

If you're using FormMail version 8.24 or earlier, or FMBadHandler version 1.21 or earlier, download sampleerrortemplate-oldtags.zip, otherwise download sampleerrortemplate.zip.

The only difference is in the style of tag used. The old version uses <> tags (e.g. <fmerror />) and the new version uses [] tags (e.g. [fmerror /]).

The new style tags work better with HTML validators and other HTML parsers.
