Error when submit is clicked

Hello,

Thank you for the formmail script. This is new for me and I'm experiencing some problems. I get the same error message when I use my existing form or the sampleform provided by yourselves. I have verified that my Windows server supports php.

The browser displays the following message when the submit button is clicked. The message I get from the DEF_ALERT is at the bottom also.

DEF_ALERT error message that is being emailed to me is below. I don't understand this because I used a valid email address. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You've got two problems.

The first problem with the sessions can only be fixed by your hosting provider. It seems that the permissions on the directory "C:\PHP\sessiondata" are not correct and are preventing PHP from creating sessions.

The second problem is that you haven't set $TARGET_EMAIL properly.

If you'd like to post your $TARGET_EMAIL setting, I can give you advice on what to change it to.

Hi,

Show the hosting company the error message you're getting. Namely:

That error speaks for itself.

For your $TARGET_EMAIL setting you want:

$TARGET_EMAIL = array("^thall@alpharhoomega\.com$"); 

to send to that single email address, or:

$TARGET_EMAIL = array(EMAIL_NAME."@alpharhoomega\.com$"); 

to send to anyone at that domain.

I have sent the error message to the hosting company for review. They saw the error on yesterday and replied with the following:

We would be glad to trouble shoot your site, but from our
understanding the error that you are getting is development issue. iPowerweb Technical Support Team offers technical assistance

limited to server side related issues regarding your account. Our
"commitment" to you is to ensure that:

1. Your account with iPowerweb is provisioned (set-up on our servers),
2. You have the ability to receive email via your registered domain
name
3. You have the ability to connect to our servers via your ISP.

Please go back and check all your settings of your code or contact a
webmaster/developer to assist if needed.

I hope that they can tell me something different this time. If not, is there anyway to get around this?

Also, I changed the TARGET_EMAIL. I didn't get the error email this time.

Sounds like they don't have a good understanding of the software they run on their servers.

It is possible to disable sessions in FormMail, but that's silly. No PHP product that uses sessions will work on your server.

They need to fix it.

If they won't, then we can disable sessions for you in FormMail, but you really should consider moving to a decent hosting provider.

Yes, I did. I didn't think I would get since I was getting the error messages displayed in the browser. I didn't go look forward it until you asked. Sorry about that.

Now I'll just have wait patiently for the hosting companies response. I'll let you know what they say.
