formmail and recaptcha problem

Ive followed the howto guide for using recaptcha to the letter... and it was working for half a day... but now its a no go.

I have added <input type="hidden" name="derive_fields" value="imgverify=recaptcha_response_field" /> to my form... i have added the small amount of php code required to show the capture.

I have added my private key to formmail.php.

If i fill out the form but not the capture the form succeeds. If i fill out the capture with incorrrect words it fails and show me that recapture failed.


Im lost... I really don't understand why it has stopped working

if it was working and now its not, then something has changed. right?

if ur sure u didn't change anything yourself (and the only way u can be sure is if u didn't login to ur server and upload any files) then a server has been modified

start with the error message u get - wot does it say?

the only error i get is when i enter incorrect words into recaptcha

The basic error message is: reCaptcha verification failed
This is a USER error!




apart from that i get nothing else.... like i said if i dont enter anything into recaptcha it sends anyways... seems kinda strange that i can get the verification failed msg but if i dont enter anything the form still posts

yeah that is strange

have u set $REQUIRE_CAPTCHA in FormMail - there r a number of ways to enforce captcha and this is the best and easiest way
