Arrow Form from address as Field Value email

Guess the title pretty much summed up what I am trying to do. This seems like something easy but I cant figure out the proper search string to find a simular case. I was hoping I could have whatever the user types in as the email feild appear as the from address. Since it is a required field i wouldent have to worry about an empty string. All my sales crew ect are begging for this feature. Thanks in advance Russ

    Hi,

I was hoping I could have whatever the user types in as the email feild appear as the from address.
I guess the form submitters are filling in the field called "email". If so, this is usually shown as the From address. But, if you had trouble with your server, you might have used the "mail_options" "FromAddr" feature.

If you had to do that, then your server has an anti spam feature which means you're stuck without switching to a different server.

This anti spam mechanism is becoming more prevalent, and I know not having the form submitter as the "From" address is inconvenient.

What if FormMail set the "Reply-To" address? I think that might resolve the problem your sales crew is complaining about.

p.s. how many posts to not be called junior?
I have no idea! It's set to the vBulletin default.

Excellent I got it working. I have had the FromAddr feild set on my formmail since November so I had forgotten it orginally worked this way. I was under the impression it just defaulted to tectite.com or such. In case you remember back a month or so ago I did complain to management and had PHP set up on that server that only had perl. Russ you saved the day again!
