Default Can't Write to CVS file

Hello out there. Firstly, let me say: great product. I'm new to it and learning. I'm very excited.

Let me also say that I am having trouble getting the form data written to the CSV file. I did everything you said. I set up the directory with appropriate permissions. I named it a txt file. I put the url name in the csv directory definition. I put in the hidden code in the form. Everything runs smoothly, except my txt file stays at 0 bytes. Nothing is written to it.

Strange thing is, I get no error messages either. One time, I changed how I listed the csv-file in the definitions part of the php file. When I did this, I got an error message emailed to me (something like: "no such file found"). So I switched it back. Bottom line: about 10 tries, no error messages and no data getting written.

    Any help out there?

    Hi,

I put the url name in the csv directory definition
    That sounds like the problem.

The CSVDIR value should be a file system directory path, not a URL.

Also, FormMail does send an alert message if there's an error. Are your alert messages working - have you done the "testalert" test?
