compliments for the very professional script.

i was wondering if it can send a message not as a plain text.

I ' d like to receive an e-mail in html (would like to better personalize the message sent through the form using your script).

    would it be possible?

    thanks

    michele

    Hi Michele,

Yes, you can modify FormMail to send HTML mail.

You need to acquaint yourself with the MIME standards for mail.* This URL is a good place to start: http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2045.html

There's quite a bit of work required to produce an HTML email, but if you're keen, the above will get you started.

NOTE: Version 2.00 and above of FormMail now supports HTML emails directly. See the HOW-TO guide for full information.

Thumbs down Re: send an email in HTML

If I set this up for MIME will I have a problem with the fmencoder I installed? Will the page in html format be encrypted and can I decrypt it and see the html page?

    Hi,

FormMail now supports HTML emails directly. You can read the HOW-TO guide for this here: http://www.tectite.com/vbforums/showthread.php?t=104

So, you don't need to understand MIME or anything complicated. Just create an HTML template and FormMail does the rest.

FormMailDecoder, however, does not yet support HTML formatting. The email will be sent to you encrypted including the HTML formatting. The email is actually sent (unless you specify otherwise) in both plain text and HTML format.

When you decode the HTML part, you'll see the HTML tags, instead of being formatted.

If you're happy to work with decoding the plain text part initially, we plan to provide HTML support in version 2 of FormMailDecoder.

Version 2 of FormMailDecoder will be available later this year.
