Questions About Computation Module

Hi,

I am considering the computation module. Would it work on this form? See URL.

I am not a programmer and will also need a recommendation for a javascript that will automatically add up the fields to give a total before ordering for the following fields.

Total Monthly Optional Coverage
Total Annual Optional Coverage

and

Total Monthly Cost
Total Annual Cost

Also, is there a support forum for creating a multiple page form?

Hi,

Found info on creating a multi-page form on this site.

I also need to know if there is documentation on how to

1. Get the total (if using the computation module) once the options are selected on the form to show up on the same page
2. And then connect with paypal or some other gateway (if necessary) with the correct total and at the same time send info to recipient email after the form has been submitted.

Haven't decided whether it is better to have customer pay after the calculations have been done, go to another page to fill in additional information and then pay through paypal or have customer pay through paypal and then redirect to a form for providing additional information. Any suggestions will be helpful. The url I stated before, is not a working form at this time and doesn't do anything.

Hi,

The computation module performs calculations on the server side, so you need to display those results after the form is submitted. Therefore, a multi-page form.

There's no documentation at this time, but we provide 90 day support included in the price and will help you write your calculations. It's quite easy - no harder than doing it in a spreadsheet (actually, it's probably easier than a spreadsheet).

Connecting to a payment gateway is non-trivial, and requires some custom programming. This can be done with FormMail by adding on the additional logic in PHP.
