Default CSV field names and encryption

    Hi,

It's looking like the Tectite formmail does what (the rather outdated) soupermail.pl does, namely save entries to a flat file and encrypt the data.

Couple of questions that I can't seem to find the answer to.

    1. Soupermail would save to a flat file in this readable format rather than CSV, like this:

    Name: Harry
    Registration: 12345
    DOB: 12/12/1968

    Name: Steve
    Registration: 12346
    DOB: 12/11/1978

    etc

I notice that the file generated by the Tectite FormMail is delimited which is a bit more cumbersome for us to work with. I'm wondering if it can store it in the format like above with the field names? Soupermail would email the file on a daily basis and that would be decrypted and printed off straight from the decrypted file i.e. in a readable format as above.

    2. Does the encrypter/decoder work on the content sent in emails and on the CSV file?

    Thanks

    Dan

formmail has a filters concept so u can do pretty much whatever u want if u know how to use commands on ur server:the encryption product is for emails i think, but it runs via a filter so u can do other things with the output if u want

formatting emails can be done using templates:
