Can I format line breaks without html emails ?

At this point I have everything working, using goodtemplete form inserted into a webpage, then a redirect to the samplegoodtemplete " your e-mail has been sent page"
Fields are filled and emails get sent. I want to format the message part so the lines break.In the goodtemplate form the lines break and scroll, the samplegoodtemplate is one straight line of text and blows out my web page design. I have tried formating the cells to set at a certain amount of columns or width but it does no make the text wrap or line break. Also the resulting e-mail becomes one straight line of text in the message part. I would like to do this without sending the e-mails in html rather than plain text . But this would not help my thank you your e-mail has been sent page would it ? I guess I need the formating done in two places somehow !?

Hi,

If you're using a plain text template, then you can see the line breaks in the template.

If these line breaks are not there when you receive the email, it's because your email program doesn't understand the line breaks.

Try saving the template as DOS text, with carriage-return + line-feed.

Why does the cell on the webpage samplegoodtemplete.htm keep expanding when filled with text it receives from the textarea name="mesg" ? It does not wrap the text when displayed in the browser. As long as the user when typing their message hits the enter key as a carrage return when they come to the end of a line it is fine. Most people just keep typing and the text box forces the text to wrap but when the e-mail is sent and the samplegoodtemplate.htm displays the results are a straight line. I guess I am trying to find a work around for people who do not use the enter key when they come to the end of the line !!
