step 1 i done i used the wizard and got a zip file back that i put the sample form on my site but then fund for it to work i have to change "yourhost\.com" with your mail server's name and am unsure how to word it then We also strongly recommend you set DEF_ALERT (the next
    * configuration below TARGET_EMAIL).

    Hi again,
As Crabtree says above, you really need to ask some questions forstly & if possible, explain in-depth what kind of issues you are having in as basic language as you can manage.

The line you mention above needs to be the hostname of the mail server where your script is served from. As an example, if you were in Australia & were using Telstra Bigpond to host your website, then the line you mention would be like so:

    yourhost\.com

    change the above to this:

    mail\.bigpond\.com

You need to verify the proper hostname with whoever runs your server - if that is you & you don't know, then please ensure that your mail server is secured before adding any form-to-email scripts to it. The guide attached to this post is about as simple as I could make it without it turning into a major book. Good luck.

ok, right where it asks for the website it says:

You can prefix your domain with 'http://' if you wish or 'https://' to indicate a secure (SSL) connection is required by the form.
    does that answer ur question?

    Hi again,
Bernard - you have inserted a field into your form which says:
    realname:Bernard Hay

That field will cause you all sorts of errors - have you actually read the guide which is attached to this thread? Start with the working test form, then start modifying it to suit your purposes. If oyu have problems with the guide, repost, then ask questions.

One thing I will say though - work through the guide & ensure that your email address is removed from the form on the web - this will cut down your spam no end. Adding the Captcha will also assist.

Wink Re: Simple How-To guide attached

Sorry about the life story that follows ???
I spent two weeks trying to get my site to send a form to my mail box and wasnt till after trying all sorts of sulutions i found out that it needs more than just path to perl i found an easy way when looking for new ways around it????
1 check with your internet provider if you can run the script they will look over it i found out that to enable formmail to work they had to activate it at that end and would be an extra charge.

2 i found a third party that gives you a piece of script to cut and past at the top and bottem of your forms thus the form goes through them worked perfect www.mvd.com down the bottom of there page i think i found the link or go to www.sellitonline.co.nz on the forms at this site when you submit them gives you an advert from a third party form handler works perfect simple but efective
i hope this works oter wise contact through that site let me know where to see the script and i will have a look become great at them after stearing at them day and night got them all over my lounge whats one more
