FormMail Script Error Message

Hi,

I am using the latest version of formmail and I am able to receive form results, however, I set up the "DEF_ALERT" to receive error messages and the email I receive is:

"The following error occurred in FormMail:
Unable to create check file '/tmp/fm4e1a55.txt'

Any clue what this is?

Hi,

This is generally caused by a clash between multiple FormMails running on the server.

If you're using version 2.12 that almost certainly isn't the reason, unless you've got two FormMails running on different domains with exactly the same $TARGET_EMAIL setting (pretty unlikely).

If you know how to create a world-writable directory on your server, you can set SCRATCH_PAD configuration in FormMail and that should solve the problem.

thanks for responding so quickly.

i set the scratch_pad config and it solved the problem

although i had to set it up in my web server document directory. for some reason i was not able to set it up in the directory above my web server document directory. same for the csv.

but it all works now and i'm happy.
