    Question Formatting the sent email

    I've got everything working, including the HTML mail template, but I don't like the output much. Here's my problem:

    My form has a lot of checkboxes, only a few of which will be filled in. if I use

    <input type="checkbox" name="field[]" value="b">
    <input type="checkbox" name="field[]" value="c">
    <input type="checkbox" name="field[]" value="d">
    <input type="checkbox" name="field[]" value="a">

    and on the output form I have Label:$field, I get
    Label: b,c,d,a

    If I use
    <input type="checkbox" name="b" value="b">
    <input type="checkbox" name="c" value="c">
    <input type="checkbox" name="d" value="d">
    <input type="checkbox" name="a" value="a">

    then I can place the $b, $c,$d,$a wherever I want them. What I'd like is to have them in a column with the blank rows between them collapsed. They are alphabetized, and I don't want to put them in separate columns; I'm trying to avoid the a, b, c, d look. Since I have over 40 checkboxes, it's annoying, if the user selects field1 and field 17 and field 48, to see
    (15 blank rows)
    (30 blank rows)
    (a bunch more blank rows)
    (some more data)

    If anyone has some ideas, I'd be grateful for any help
