    Default autorespond overrides sending form results?

    Yesterday I was getting my form results normally but having problems getting autorespond to work. Found the correct DOCUMENT_ROOT path but now I'm gettting the autorespond sent both to me and my form user and no longer getting the form results. Is it normal to not be able to do both or have I missed something?

    Melie

    Hi!
    A have the same problem.
    My form used o work fine, but as soon as I set up an autorespond e-mail, it only sends me only the verification email instead of the form info.
    Any idea on this?
    Thank you

    well
    I tried to do it again, but this time my form works correctly (no errors), send the information to me, but no auto respond email is sent.
    I must have missed something...
    It would be highly appriciated if you could take a look at it

    ur HTML isn't correct:
    HTML Code:
     <style type="text/css">
        input type="hidden" name="autorespond"
    value="PlainTemplate=/fmtemplates/autorespond.txt,
    Subject=Your confirmation,TemplateMissing=" />
    thats not valid and therefore ur missing the autorespond field.

    u should validate ur HTML at www.w3c.org

    Well, I copied this code from the tectite site's how to section and inserted the url to my autorespod.txt
    I don't know what could be wrond, and I just can't figure out how to use the validator... it gives me a bunch of errors that aren't really error, but does not help me figure out the autorespond issue I'm a beginner on this as you can see....
    What could be wrong with my code?

    ok u copied the code, but to the wrong place

    u do need to have some understading of html even when u copy-and-paste

    and the html validator errors are real errors....some are not that important, but its always best to have clean html

    to fix...

    u curently have:

    HTML Code:
    <style type="text/css">
        input type="hidden" name="autorespond"
    value="PlainTemplate=/fmtemplates/autorespond.txt,
    Subject=Your confirmation,TemplateMissing=" />
    change it to this:
    HTML Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="autorespond"
    value="PlainTemplate=/fmtemplates/autorespond.txt,
    Subject=Your confirmation,TemplateMissing=" />
    <style type="text/css">

    wow!

    Thank you, the autoresponder works finally!

    Hi!I was able to fix it with your help! Thank you!
    I've been trying to move my working form to another site, but I happened to get back to the same problem: I don't get the submitted info, but I get the autorespond text to my address instead of the submitters address...
    I tried the same solution again, but it won't work. I must have missed something. Could you take a look at my coding and help me again please?
    Thank you
