    Default Using conditions - supplement to documentation

    I had a little trouble with getting conditions working at first, and after searching the forums, it looks like several others had the same issue.

    It's really simple, basically that the doc at http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/creating_forms.php doesn't give a FULL example of how to use a condition, and so it's easy to make the mistake of writing, for example:

    Code:
    conditions1 = "@TEST@Name@Please provide your name.@"
    or
    Code:
    conditions1 = ":@TEST@Name@Please provide your name.@"
    instead of
    Code:
    conditions1 = ":@@TEST@Name@Please provide your name.@"
    which is correct.

    I'm using an ini file, so the correct html field would be
    Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="conditions1" value=":@@TEST@Name@Please provide your name.@"  />
    Substituting whichever characters you choose for the separators, of course. I've used the same ones here that are in the doc for convenience.

    What's not immediately apparent is the need to repeat the internal separator (@) twice; once to identify which separator character to use, and once to start the condition. It looks like many others have made the mistake of thinking it only needed to specified once and would count for both.

    If the doc just had one of the full examples above (or maybe one for html and one for ini) we probably wouldn't have made the mistake!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your post and your feedback.

    We'll update the documentation ASAP to improve the examples.
