Default CSV file not fully readable in EXCEL

    Hi!
We had a small discussion about this in another thread, but I figured this one deserves an own thread
I have a csv file set up and it works correctly. I work with a macbook and the Numbers application reads the csv perfectly. This is not the case with excel. As I make the form for someone who uses Excel, it is important to make this work in excel too. The only problems are a few letters like űő. They don't show properly in excel. They are substituted with gibberish things like %/ etc.
Have I missed a charset declaration somewhere? Or what could be the solution?
You can find my form here: http://www.demab.hu/regform.htm
You can find my csv file here: http://www.demab.hu/csvdir/
    Thank you

csv files dont have a charset feature

so u need to tell the app (excell in this case) to interpret the file in the right charset

theres probly an option in the Open dialog for this

i opened ur csv file in excel and also notepad

the data was screwy in excel

in notepad, if i opened as UTF-8, it looked pretty good

in notepad, if i opened as ANSI, it was screwy

so: it looks like excel doesnt support unicode...i checked the help and nothing useful

maybe u need to install unicode support on ur system?

otherwise, why not post the csv file on a microsoft support forum and ask those guys how to read it in excel.

its really a question for them not here.
