    Question fmbadhandler.php Image display problem.

    Hi. Can anyone help?

I am developing my website and am going through a slow time build of formmail. I have been able to sort out most of the issues I found, like getting the .ini file working, but this one is defeating me.

When I use fmbadhandler.php to deal with errors it returns to the page defined "this_form". That's great but why will the page not display the images correctly. The images are only displayed correctly again when formmail returns my good_url page.!

    Kind Regards
    Uncle Tom

It's a path problem. Use absolute url's for all paths when using a template. (http://www.yourdomain.com/path-to-your-image.jpg)

    Hi,

    Glad you got it sorted.

I actually didn't respond correctly to your question. (I responded without understanding the question. Sorry about that.)

When you return to your form after an error (via fmbadhandler.php), the form is displayed by fmbadhandler.php and is referencing all url's relative to the location of fmbadhandler.php. This is why images whose path is referenced relative to the location of yourform.html are not displaying. If you use "absolute url's" for all images and other paths, then it can't get confused because nothing is "relative" to any other file's location. It has the "full" or "absolute" url.

Sometimes people have a problem with images displaying in "good_template" or "bad_template", and that's what I thought you were referring to before I reread your question. When a good_template or bad_template (not good_url or bad_url) is displayed, it's displayed through fmbadhandler.php, thus the difference in relative url's.

    Hope that explains it better.
