Cool Mail sent, but get Error: Failed to send mail

    Hi,
I think I have tried everything, but of course, since almost everyone seems to have this script working I must be over looking something.

I can send the test alert and I can fill in the sample form and I get the messages sent, but I also get an error that the mail has not been sent.
    For example:
    ---------------------------------------------
    To: myaddress@sbcglobal.net
    From: admin@nmpra.org

This is a test alert message
    Loaded language is English (builtin)
    PHP version is 5.2.2
    FormMail version is 8.11
    Server type: non-Windows

    DOCUMENT_ROOT: /xxxxx/home/n/m/nmpra-ad/public_html
    SCRIPT_FILENAME: /xxxxx/home/n/m/nmpra-ad/public_html/formmail.php
    PATH_TRANSLATED: -not set-
    REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT: /xxxxx/home/n/m/nmpra-ad/public_html

    User IP address was 71.145.xxx.xx
    ------------------------------------------------------
If I run the two test testmail.php scripts, both indicate failure and both send an email to my address. The difference is that the one without the -f option sends mail from "unprivileged user" and the one with -f sends to my email with from "myemail@sbcglobal.net"

I also have Matt's formmail v1.92 and it works with out errors, but it is written in Perl.

I am aware of http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/emailproblems.php and I have tried each of the optional settings one at a time and also altogether. But it seems like I need go no further if the testmail.php scripts send mail, but still indicate failure.

I am also running phpBB3 on this site and mail in phpBB3 is working ok and it is PHP code.

Around line 10830 in formmail.php there is the line
    if (!SendResults($aFieldOrder,$aCleanedValues,$s_valid_recipients,$s_valid_cc,
    $s_valid_bcc,$aRawDataValues))
If I reverse the logic (remove !) to ignore errors from sendresults()i.e., if (SendResults(... the form works and sends the email to my address and posts a success message to the user.

    Ciao,
    Stan

i think theres a problem with php on ur server

i think its accepting the email and then reporting an error

show ur test script to ur hosting provider and ask them to explain

Thanks, I actually spent most of the day on this and I think you are correct; it's my host server messing things up.

    Ciao,
    Stan
