    Default Guestbook?

I would LOVE to see a Tectite guestbook script as the formmail script has proved 100% effective against spammers and hackers on my website. Bravo! I see a poll was started here in 2004 to gauge the level of interest and the result seems pretty clear. Five years on, how about it, Tectite? What can we do to persuade you to release a guestbook script?

    Hi,

    You're right.

But there seem to plenty of good guestbooks around.

Can you tell me what you think is wrong with the best ones?

This one seems pretty good: http://www.promosi-web.com/script/guestbook/

My site has been hacked twice by people getting in via scripts that were allegedly secure when I installed them. To be fair, they probably WERE secure to start with but weren't updated when someone found a way round them. So now I'm sceptical about scripts that promise complete reliability.

Tectite formmail, however, has proved 100% reliable and I feel reassured by the regular updates. I am therefore happy to promote the Tectite brand with a link from my website and by word of mouth and I would have no hesitation in implementing a guestbook script should one become available. Reputation sticks, and Tectite's is a good one. You should build on it.

Thank you - I will take a look.

    Gee, thanks.

OK, we'll raise the Guestbook concept in our priorities. I have some ideas for it.

I don't think we can provide it as a free product though. It's really hard to stay in business with free products!
