    Default Error in documentation for Captcha?

    Hi,

    I have found what looks like an error in the documentation for using the free Captcha. I am not complaining, Hey it's free and is very cool, just thought others should be aware. Even on the downloadable sample Autorepond Form the field is named wrong. I believe it should be:imgverify

    On this page http://www.tectite.com/fmhowto/autorespond.php

    It states:

    Step 4 - Add the Image to your Form

    You need to insert two items into your form: an image URL and a text field.

    Here's how to insert the image:
    <img src="http://www.yoursite.com/verifyimg.php" alt="Image verification" name="vimg" />

    Here's how to get the user's input:
    <p>If you would like a confirmation email, please enter the characters you see in the image:</p>
    <input type="text" size="12" name="arverify" />

    The text field must be named arverify. That's the special field name that FormMail will look for.

    If you're using the autorespond feature, then it should be arverify, otherwise it should be imgverify, so the documentation is correct.

    Ginger, thank you for the quick response. I see now...I have been bouncing from one page to the next. I am actually trying to get the form to work with both autorespond and captcha, but would not work until I changed the field to imgverify.

    Hmmm, I don't know why that would be. I've tested it with arverify and it works fine. Captcha is actually required if you're using the autoresponse feature, unless things are different in the later versions of formmail. (I'm using v8.12).

    I finally got it!!

    I needed to add the code:

    Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="derive_fields" value="arverify=imgverify" />
    in order to get both the CAPTCHA and the Autoreponse to work.

    This works for both CAPTCHA Creator and the Free Captcha.

    You're right. I forgot to mention that as well.

    Glad you got it working.
