field validation in 2 stage form

can formmail handle this scenario?

winners of a competition have valid codes - I want them to submit code and if code is valid, then they submit their details to claim their prize online.

visitors need to fill in a field (code) against which I need to validate their entry against a list of acceptable winning codes.

If not valid get message saying 'sorry matey you did not win'

if valid asked to fill in remaining fields and submit their details

realise this is probably a very newbie question but there you are...

it can help....

u need some php to validate the code entered, and then it can redirect to the "fill details form"

that php could be hooked into formmail or it could be stand alone

the choice is how much work u need done on the first submit (e.g. validating entry, protecting against spam, etc.) that formmail can do for u
