    Default Create check file error & Real Document Root

    Hello,

    I recently purchased your formmail encoder/decoder software. I've managed to get formmail to work and have a goodtemplate and errortemplate working. I still have to figure out how to get return link to work but haven't searched much on it. Right now I'm concerned about two things.

    1) I get this email error message:

    Unable to create check file "/tmp/fm84d430.txt" [M3]

    2) I'm wondering about the SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT

    Would this information be listed if I run the phpinfo.php script? I ran it and found this.........
    DOCUMENT_ROOT = /www/crittergitter

    Does that mean I would code the SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT to
    $SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT = "/www/crittergitter";

    I've managed to get the other problems I've had worked out by reading your online documentation and searching the forums but I'm still confused about these two issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Unable to create check file "/tmp/fm84d430.txt" [M3]
    This is a fault in the setup of PHP on your server.

    You can workaround it using the $SCRATCH_PAD setting in FormMail.

    You simply create a directory/folder, make it writable by everyone, and put its path in the $SCRATCH_PAD setting.

    DOCUMENT_ROOT = /www/crittergitter

    Does that mean I would code the SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT to
    $SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT = "/www/crittergitter";
    Yes! That's a good start and will almost certainly work.

    However, if you need to use it for your "encode" path, you'll also need to either:
    1. Upgrade to version 7.00 of FormMail (so that $SET_REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT sets $REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT before the $FILTERS setting); OR
    2. Change the "encode" path from:
      PHP Code:
      $FILTERS = array("encode"=>"$REAL_DOCUMENT_ROOT/cgi-bin/fmencoder -k..."
      to
      PHP Code:
      $FILTERS = array("encode"=>"/www/crittergritter/cgi-bin/fmencoder -k..."
