Default Wizard Generated Forms not working

I subscribed to your automated form generation service as all of my forms have just stopped working. The host are not prepared to advise on 3rd party software.

    I get the message:
An error occurred while processing the form .

Please contact us (www.domain.com) directly since this form is not working .
www.domain.com apologizes for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
This suggests that the formail.php is receiving the form submission, an error occurs & the DEF_ALERT fails.

I made a fresh start with the wizard html.form & formmail.php v8.23. These worked fine on your server & I received a test email. When I upload these to my server I get the same error message as before.

Running PHP v5.2.9 which I upgraded today from v4.4.9. What is really confusing me is that forms I have on another website (same host, same php but formmail v8.21) work fine!

I have just done a large maillout campaign which is failing as prospects can't submit the forms.

    Please help!

i reckon u have two choices:

    1. ask ur host to supply a small php script that sends mail. post it here and we can advise
    2. buy some support from tectite

...the strange thing is that the identical setup works on another website. I was wondering if my shared server was blocked in some way...?

My host provider has agreed to take a look a their php setup.

What is also curious is that I have a domain using formmail v8.16 (with ini file option activated) & instead of returning a form or error message, it actually displays ON SCREEN the contents of the private ini file !?

The following settings were found in the file '/usr/local/pem/vhosts/*****/webspace/httpdocs/private_formmail/formmail_domain.ini':
    [email_addresses]
    manager = "me@domain.com"

Your form submission was processed by (8.16), available from www.tectite.com
    (address/url altered for privacy)

do u have DB_SEE_INI set to true?

that's for debugging - u need to set it back to false when ur done with it.

...you were right, now I get the same error message on 3 websites!
    (formmail versions 8.16, 8.21 & 8.24)

An error occurred while processing the form .

Please contact us (www.domain.com) directly since this form is not working .
www.domain.com apologizes for any inconvenience this error may have caused.
...awaiting the outcome from my host's investigation...
