    Question What is causing my syntax error??

    I just recently updated to 8.23, am getting this error:

    Error=The FormMail INI file '/public_html/foo.org/nospam.ini' has a syntax error

    The ini file says:

    [email_addresses]
    emp = "emp@foo.org"
    contact = "contactus@foo.org"
    web = "webmaster@foo.org"
    donate = "donations@foo.org"
    [special_fields]
    required = "email:Please provide your email in a valid userid@domain email address format.,realname:Please type your name using letters and spaces only.,strFoundAgency:Please tell us how you found our website.,strComments:Please type your questions or comments using only letters and numbers and punctuation."
    bcc = "webmaster@foo.org"
    good_url = "http://www.foo.org/thankyou.html"
    bad_url = "http://www.foo.org/mail_error.html"

    Editing it in Notepad only.

    form is at http://www.mountainlakeservices.org/webmaster_inquiry.html

    Thank you, Tom

    That error message often indicates a problem with the path to your INI file.

    The path you posted looks like it starts at the public_html directory, but there's usually more that should go in front of that. You can get it by either running test alert or by checking with your host.

    Did you get the full server path yet?

    Running testalert would mean entering the following in your browser:

    http://www.mountainlakeservices.org/...hp?testalert=1

    You should receive an email to the address defined for DEF_ALERT in the script:

    Code:
    define("DEF_ALERT","your_email_address");
    The email should contain the server path, which you can use to figure out the full path to your INI file.

    Yes, I finally found how to create the test alert and fixing the path did solve my problem. The form now works properly.

    Thank you for explaining!!
