Setting single "From" email

I'm trying to disable the settings that set the From/Sender of the form results as the email of the person who completed it. I want to set the sender as a specific email address. I've tried dozens of different setting combinations, including changing the FIXED_SENDER, removing the line (in the actual form) that derives the email and realname from the form, I even started messing with the fields outside the "Do Not Edit" lines. None of it worked. I reverted back to my original settings to start over. Any advice?

are u saying that when u removed the "email" field from the form, the email still magically guessed the person's email address?

i don't think so.

maybe u forgot to refresh ur browser and it was still using an old copy of the form.

email*must* have a From address...that's just the way email works.

Drop the attitude please, and read what I wrote.

I removed the line that said in the notes that it derived the fields realname and email from the form. I didn't remove the line in the visible form that asked for the email because it would be useless, I need to figure out how to make the form work with that line in it.

The end result I want: When we get the form results, it will say it is from a single set email address, no matter what the person filling it out put in as their own address.

Hi,

How about if you use a different field name for the email address field, such as: "EmailAddress" instead of "email".

Does that give you the results you want?

Thank you very much. That didn't give me exactly the result I wanted (it made up it's own sending email from our server instead of taking the one I set) but at least it's not using the provided email address anymore. Thanks again.

I got it! Thank you very much, Ginger, that was the one thing I needed. And the SENDMAIL_F_OPTION, but I figured that out. Thank you!
