    Default Problems on HostGator?

    Hi,

    I use the latest version (today) 8.24
    I am hosted on HostGator (Unix)

    I want to use templates HTML... It Works!
    But when I want to send a copy of the template to the person buying a seminar ticket (www.makesuccesseasy.com/seminars/) it's NOT WORKING...

    In my dir /forms there are error.log
    PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin: undefined symbol: executor_globals_id in Unknown on line 0
    [01-Feb-2011 18:42:52] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin: undefined symbol: executor_globals_id in Unknown on line 0
    The form and it's fields are:

    <form action="http://xxx.yyy/zzz/formmail.php" method="post" name="MSESeminar"/>
    <input type="hidden" name="env_report" value="REMOTE_HOST,REMOTE_ADDR,HTTP_USER_AGENT,AUTH_TYPE,REMOTE_USER" />
    <input type="hidden" name="recipients" value="yodayyy_@xxxx.dk,xxxx@xxxx,peterxxx_@xxxx.dk"/>
    <input type="hidden" name="replyto" value="webmaster AT- makesuccesseasy.com" />
    <input type="hidden" name="subject" value="Registration for SEMINAR (MSE)"/>
    <input type="hidden" name="good_url" value="http://xxxxx.xxx/seminar-payment.htm" />
    <input type="hidden" name="bad_url" value="http://xxxx.xxx/fejl-regis.htm" />
    <input type="hidden" name="this_form" value="http://xxxxx.xxx/seminar-registration.htm" />
    <input type="hidden" name="good_template" value="http://xxxxx.xxx/templates/seminar_ticket.htm" />
    <input type="hidden" name="autorespond" value="PlainTemplate=/xxx/tak_seminar.txt,HTMLTemplate=/xxx/seminar_ticket.htm,Subject=Your Ticket for the seminar,TemplateMissing=" />
    <input type="hidden" name="mail_options" value="HTMLTemplate=/xxxx//seminar_ticket.htm,TemplateMissing=N/A" /> -->
    <input type="hidden" name="required" value="email:Your email address,realname:Your first name" />

    The Ticket get send to me ... But the buyer getz siltzh... !!!
    Any ideas??

    Is this something to do with my host? Or did I just miss something about the autoresponding... Sending a copy to the buyer
    Is there a smarter way?

    I also added the autoresponder log ... and set the rw-rw-rw rights CHMOD - But nothing gets written to it?

    Unhappy Re: Problems on HostGator?

    I might add... That I have installed Captcha "Verify Image" and it works great

    And the path to files are checked and checked (do they need to be http://www.....XXX?)
    I don't plan to use the TEXT based version of the autorespond ... It's just to see if something gives...!

    I also should mention that I have a HUGE error file that HostGator will not comment on or fix!? (What are we paying for...?)

    Here is a ONE LINE grap from that file...? Maybe it's relevant
    It's the error_log in the root (not the same as posted that was from ///forms

    [01-Feb-2011 21:56:12] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin' - /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-zts-20060613/ixed.5.2ts.lin: undefined symbol: executor_globals_id in Unknown on line 0
    Hmmm look the same...?

    the php errors in the log are probly not causing the problem

    but, they shouldn't be there and ur host should fix it.

    template paths are ignored by formmail...only the base name is used.

    the rest of the path comes from $TEMPLATEDIR or $TEMPLATEURL setting in formmail's config

    so, do formmail alerts work?

    and do u get an alert when u test ur form, or does the email autoresponse just go missing?

    if the latter, then ur mail server is probly junking it...but u need to test with an email address that doesn't throw away email (set up one with gmail)

    also, try setting FROM_USER: http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/from_user.php

    Hi crabtree!

    Thanks for your help...
    Good to hear that the php errors doesn't effect formmail

    Alle tests, alerts are 100% perfect ... With or with out the -F option!???

    It's only autoresponding that is going "lost" in Bitheaven!!
    I did test with different account gmail, yahoo and so on...
    So it must be my hosts mailserver that eat the autorespond mail...!!!

    I also did set the FROM_USER !! - makes no difference!?

    Any other ideas? (Plz do not say manual work... I avoid it when possible)

    grab the testmail scripts from here:
    http://www.tectite.com/vbforums/showthread.php?t=62

    set up to send to the email addresses ur testing (that don't work)

    assuming u still don't get the emails, ask ur hosting provider why.

    the scripts are so short and simple even they can understand them

    alternatively,

    ask ur provider to supply an example php script that works

    u can post it here and it will tell us the "magic secret" of host gator mail sending

    Hi,

    I did contact HostGator and gave them the link to this post!!

    They didn't comment on formmail (no support for 3th parties software) that I can understand...

    But about the error: They said
    We have changed the line in php.ini that reads extension=ixed.5.2.ts.lin to ixed.5.2.lin this will prevent the errors in the log.

    I'll ask them to send me a sample php... But I can quess the answer -
    I did read all their support site.. They are using a perl script - So simple it's properly useless and it can only do 5% of this excellent formmail script!!

    Hi,

    If you have problems with Hostgator or any other hosting provider, you can now use our Hosted Forms service.

    Your actual HTML form remains on your website, and your "thank you" page can also be on your website, but the form processing is done on our server.

    This means it will be reliable and you don't have to deal with broken hosting servers.

    Please try it.
