Validating email format on submission

Using form mail on a few sites. No (well mostly no) issues with setup etc, but I can't seem to find if there is a way to validate email addresses entered in forms.

I can make fields 'required' but can put anything in the 'email address' field and it doesn't trigger as an error.

Any way to do this that I'm missing?

Reading the poll (should have done so first) there are refences to setting 'conditions', but I can't find this in the documentation. Is this the answer? If so, where is it set?
