    Default Encoder Stopped Working with SSL installed.

    I'd managed to get the Encoder/Decoder working on a Windows server.

    We then installed an SSL Certificate and I now get...

    The following error occurred in FormMail : filter_failed ********** Error=Filter "httpencode" failed (missing __OK__ line): <head><title>Document Moved</title></head> <body><h1>Object Moved</h1>This document may be found <a HREF="https://www.mywebaddress.co.uk/cgi-bin/fmencoder.exe">here</a></body> email: kirk@myemail.com realname: (User data suppressed for security purposes. ) Referring page was https://www.mywebaddress.co.uk/offer...irection=true/ SERVER_NAME was www.mywebaddress.co.uk

    I looked into sslencode instead of httpencode, but this post suggest I don't need to... http://www.tectite.com/vbforums/arch...hp/t-1732.html

    My script code is...

    Code:
    $FILTERS = array("encode"=>"D:\\vhosts\\mywebaddress.co.uk\\httpdocs\\cgi-bin -kpubkey.txt",
                    "null"=>"null",
                    "csv"=>"csv");

                /* Help: http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/socket_filters.php */
    $SOCKET_FILTERS = array(
                     "httpencode"=>array("site"=>"www.mywebaddress.co.uk",
                        "port"=>80,
                        "path"=>"/cgi-bin/fmencoder.exe",
                        "params"=>array(array("name"=>"key",
                                "file"=>"D:\\vhosts\\mywebaddress.co.uk\\cgi-bin\\pubkey.txt"))),
                     "sslencode"=>array("site"=>"ssl://www.mywebaddress.co.uk",
                        "port"=>443,
                        "path"=>"/cgi-bin/fmencoder.exe",
                        "params"=>array(array("name"=>"key",
                                "file"=>"D:\\vhosts\\mywebaddress.co.uk\\cgi-bin\\pubkey.txt"))),
                    );
    Have you got any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    You don't need an SSL connection to your own server because the data never touches the Internet (as per the forum post you cited).

    So, if you're using httpencode, that's fine. But, a "document moved" error indicates the web server doesn't know how to access the URL.

    Try typing the URL into your browser.

    If that works, but it doesn't work from the server itself, then your hosting provider needs to fix that. But, at least they'll have more information about where the problem is.

    If neither work, then your hosting provider has to fix that too.

    The URL that FormMail is using for httpencode with the setup you've posted is: http://www.mywebaddress.co.uk//cgi-bin/fmencoder.exe
    (note it is *not* https://)
