    Default JavaScript on good_url

    I have been successfully using the formail for quite a while. I am updating my sites design and have pondered this question for a while. On the form's submission that is successful will make it run the good_url hidden field; is it possible to pass a javascript function through this?

    I am asking this as I wish for, when users submit a form, instead of redirecting to a new page, the Javascript will display a message on page without redirecting.

    Many thank in advanced!

    Hi,

    Yes! What you're wanting is called "Ajax". Our Wizard now produces forms that default to Ajax.

    You can retrofit manually:Include our "formval" script:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://cdn.tectite.com/formval-v7.js"></script>
    Add a hidden field called "fmmode", set to "auto":
    HTML Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="fmmode" value="auto" />

    Hi russellr,

    Great! Thanks for the quick reply and service. I don't have any experience using ajax... is it an add on to JS or JS itself?
    Really appreciated

    Jake.

    Hi,

    Ajax is just the name of a set of technologies that use JavaScript.
