Hi,
This isn't really a bug - we just haven't updated the code to support HTML 5 types.
We'll need to update both FormMail and FMBadHandler.
We'll try to get this done over the next week or so.
Welcome to the Tectite Forums! You can download and get support for our free PHP FormMail (form processor) and other free software.
When I use the HTML5 tags type=”email” or type=”tel” instead of type="text" in my form, fmbadhandler.php does not return the those values back to the form. I need to use the HTML5 type tags to improve mobile device usability. Is there a workaround for this issue?

Thatnk you for that fast reply. I'm excited to hear that FormMail will be supporting the HTML5 type tags in the near future. Obviously this isn't a bug since there was no way you could anticipate these new type tags before they were introduced, but I wasn't really sure where to post the question. Feel free to move this thread to a more appropriate category.
Do you have an expected release date for updated FormMail and FMBadHandler with support for HTML 5 types? Also, how will I know when they have been released?, Will they be FormMail v8.37 and FMBadHandler v 1.23?
Hi,
At this stage, it looks like end of May.
Other non-free work has taken priority.
If your FormMail has CHECK_FOR_NEW_VERSION set to true, it will notify you of the update.
