    Unhappy Upload File / Attachements

    Hi everybody!

    I have a problem with attaching a file via formmail.
    I know that I have everything set up properly

    - input field
    - enctype="multipart/form-data"
    - define("FILEUPLOADS",true);

    when i fill out the form and attach a file and submit it i get 2 mails:

    Mail 1:
    Error Message from the DEF_ALERT saying:

    The following error occurred in FormMail :
    File upload attempt ignored

    Mail 2:
    My submitted form with everything except the attachments.

    Any idea?
    I also looked into my php.ini and it says, that file upload ist allowed.
    I also tried "testenctype.php" it says that
    "safe mode is on" (this is usually bad); could that be the problem

    Please help me out of my sleepless nights, thanks

    i looked at formail.php and the only time this message is shown is if you don't have FILEUPLOADS set to true.

    you better check your config again:
    PHP Code:
    define("FILEUPLOADS",true);

    Did you get this solved?

    I have the same issue. I receive the email with no attachment and I get the error message:
    The following error occurred in FormMail :

    I only have one formmail.php file uploaded (renamed to tugourshirts.php)
    I checked my php.ini file and ran php_info.php - both confirm that
    Code:
    file_uploads = On
    Code:
    <form method="post" action="http://www.motherhoodwithattitude.com/contactus/tugourshirts.php" name="WhatAHam" enctype="multipart/form-data" />

    Nothing in the error log for that submission time...

    I suspect there might be ANOTHER setting I need to change in my php.ini file, but I don't know what that could be...

    The following error occurred in FormMail :
    File upload attempt ignored
    this means you havent told formmail you want file uploads

    you must set FILEUPLOADS configuration setting to true, as describe above

    Red face Re: Upload File / Attachements

    I am a YAHOO

    I did change that setting, but I didn't upload the file after I changed it.

    Thank you so much for making me check that yet again.

    It's working great now.

    You rock!

    Hi Fear4 et al: Apologies for riding on your back but I'm just learning the ropes. I receive an attached file by setting FILEUPLOAD to TRUE, except that I uploaded 8 small jpeg files and only the eighth one comes back to me in the e-mail. Can anyone tell me if there is another setting in V7.14 that needs attention in order to receive all 8 uploaded jpeg files? FAQ reveals no clues.

    Lightbulb Re: Upload File / Attachements

    I have the answer to my problem about uploading multiple jpeg images and only the last one coming back to me: On my Form, all eight files were carrying a value of "file" whereas they should have been called "file1", "file2", . . . "file8". It worked for me and I now receive all my files.
    Thanks to the support desk at BPWeb.net for the advice.
